DigInGuide is an editorial site focused on gardening. We publish practical, well-researched articles for readers who want clear answers rather than padded content. Every article on this site is written by people who care about getting it right, and we hold our work to a standard we would want from any source we read ourselves.
Our editorial standards
Every article we publish follows the same process:
- Research first. We start with reference sources in the field (horticultural references and university extension publications, established institutional publications, primary research where it exists) before we write a single sentence.
- One topic, one article. We don’t publish thin “listicle” content designed to rank for a keyword. If a topic doesn’t deserve a full article, we don’t write one.
- Sources cited. When an article makes a specific claim, we link to where that claim comes from. If we can’t find a source, we say so.
- Reviewed before publishing. Each draft is read by a second person on the team to check clarity, accuracy, and that no claim is overstated.
- Updated when needed. Articles are revisited periodically. If newer information has come out, we update the article and note the change. The last-updated date at the top of each post is real.
What this site is not
DigInGuide is an informational resource. It is not a substitute for professional advice in fields where that matters, such as professional horticultural, pesticide-safety, or plant-toxicity advice. When the right answer to a question is “talk to a qualified professional,” we say so plainly rather than guessing.
We do not publish content that we have not researched, sponsored posts disguised as editorial, or AI-generated text passed off as human work.
Sources and corrections
Every substantive article cites its sources at the end. If you spot a factual mistake, we want to hear about it. We correct errors in place and add a brief note at the top of the article noting what changed and when.

DigInGuide is independently owned and operated. We may include affiliate links to products we have personally used; when we do, we mark them clearly. We do not accept paid placements, guest posts, or sponsored articles dressed up as editorial.
